Hi rafik23! Welcome back! :D

Usually D-Link series with suffix "U" are intended to Middle East, Russia and Australia.
But we hope to see it soon in a European version!

rafik23

you can consider this like 455  and 457 firstly was published in  russia and middle east and after is populated in europe , just this is an anounce for DIR-456, i have procured it from england but i think no diffrence in hardware between DIR-456 and DIR-456U and it's very new dlink product, announced in headerquarter dlink.com as residential router.

rafik23

@Pondera thank you for implementing the subject

Pondera

Thanks to you and your contribution to this forum! :D

Anyone can help me how to get new firmware from ftp site or other way.
Looking for help urgently.

How to get ftp site username & password?
Desperately looking for firmware upgrade.
Thanks.

Pondera

The old ftp Middle East & North Africa site link:

ftp://ftp.dlink-me.com/DLink_ME/DIR/DIR-456u/

now has been replaced by:

ftp://dlinkmea.com/ftp/DIR-456U/

but there isn't any firmware file to download.

You can report this lack to your local D-Link:

http://www.dlinkmea.com/contactus/feedback/

http://www.dlinkmea.com/corporate/contact/

http://www.facebook.com/DlinkEgypt

and also to:

http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/contact2008.asp

We hope rafik23 has a firmware backup so we can upload it in our forum for everyone it need. And also if you receive a firmware file from your local D-Link.

Hello Everyone,
My problem is still not solved. I have Dlink DIR456U wireless routers at 5 locations. All routers date expired on 31-12-2012. I bought in November 2012 from local dealer. How to make its date 2013 and above? If not possible, means throw all 5 routers? It means the routers are useless after 2012 year? All my customers are desperately waiting for the date update.
Please help me to keep the routers working.
Thanks.
