DIR-825 B1: incompatibilità in Wireless N a 2,4 GHz

ciao a tutti,complimenti per il forum e per l'attenzione che state prestando alla mia discussione.

comprai il dlink dir-825 2.4ghz b/g/n e 5ghz proprio per le sue entusiasmanti capacita' che ho letto sulla carta,ma si e' presentato un problema non da poco conto.
sulla 5ghz va tutto alla grande,mentre sulla 2.4 ghz,col mio pc con a bordo scheda wireless  1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter della lenovo,non riesco ad andare a piu di 65mbps.

tanto per cominciare il router e' un dlink dir 825 con fw: 2.02EU e Versione hardware: B1, andando nel menu impostazioni wireless e poi configurazione della rete wireless spunto l'opzione Abilitare la scansione automatica del canale e seleziono Larghezza del canale
in modalita automatica 20/40mhz.
senza abilitare la scansione automatica del canale non riesco ad avere 2 canali in trasmissione
col programma inssider vedo con piacere che la trasmissione wireless e' su due canali e con un tx rate max di 300 mbps.
fin qui tutto ok.

mi collego col mio portatile e un canale viene subito escluso,portandomi la velocita della connessione a 65mbps.
il tutto accade in Modalità 802.11,sia n,sia g,n che b,g,n

si nota anche un gran peggioramento su internet,perdo circa 8mbit in download col wireless 2.4 ghz. in confronto a cavo e a frequenza in 5ghz.

spero che qualcuno mi possa aiutare grazie

Bisogna accertare con precisione che chipset monta la scheda wireless del pc, aggiornare i driver e cercare tra le impostazioni avanzate di esso che sia abilitata la modalità dei subchannel 20\40 Mhz o Auto e il WMM (come anche nel router). Con una scheda 1x1 la velocità massima sarà comunque 150 Mbit.

grazie per la risposta. ho aggiornato adesso i diriver della scheda che e' una realtek ma non riesco a risalire al chipset
succede sempre che il secondo canale viene disattivato
i driver li ho scaticati direttamente dal lenovo support e il nome della mia scheda corrisponde.
andando nella configurazione della scheda e in avanzate ho solo queste opzioni,uguali a quelle di prima

modalita preambolo: long and short
modalita wireless: b,g,n
roaming senitivity level : low
tx power level : auto

Identificato il chipset i driver più aggiornati li trovi qui: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=21&Level=4&Conn=3
Magari puoi usare un programma tipo AIDA o SIW oppure cercare il vid\pid della scheda nelle proprietà hardware.

grazie,sono andato in dettagli driver della mia scheda  wireless 1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter e ho notato che il driver e' RTL8192CE.SYS,dunque ho scaricato lo stesso contenuto nel file zippato che si trova in lista nella pagina del link che mi hai postato.
ho aggiornato con successo il driver facendo la procedura manuale "aggiorna driver"
ma non e' cambiato niente in confronto alla situazione di prima,e non mi trovo nelle avanzate nuove voci che mi permettono di configurare la modalita 20/40 mhz o altro

Hai controllato che l'opzione WMM sia attiva nel router per la radio wireless utilizzata?
Inoltre dovresti provare a vedere se DURANTE un trasferimento file massiccio tra pc wireless e altro PC in rete si attiva il secondo canale radio e aumentano i Mbit, perchè potrebbe essere che il driver della scheda disattiva il secondo canale in idle per aderire alle specifiche RHOS sul risparmio energetico.

il wmm e' attivo.
il secondo canale non si attiva facendo un trasferimento file massiccio.
anzi,dal momento in cui collego questo pc e salta il secondo canale,il router non lo riattiva piu nemmeno per le altre periferiche,l'unica soluzione per riattivarlo e' entrare nuovamente nel menu di configurazione wireless,disabilitare scansione automatica del canale e poi riabilitarla,questo problema lo da solo con questo schifo di scheda realtek

Potresti provare a disabilitare la ricerca automatica del canale e forzare la radio 2.4 Ghz del router a usare la modalità N only, spegnendo la 5 Ghz se non ti serve.

pur forzando il router ad utilizzare la modalita' N only e spegnendo la 5 Ghz

Uhm ... che sia un problema del firmware?

in ogni caso tante grazie e' migliorato molto in termini di velocita

Ho provato a collegarmi anche con un pennino tp-link tl-wn722N (150mbps)
chipset atheros AR9271 e il risultato e' stato ugualmente la segatura del secondo canale e quindi velocita' a 65mbps.

credo proprio che sia una questione di incompatibilita',perche se mi collego con schede wireless della intel funziona tutto perfettamente,riesco a ottenere i 150mbit con una scheda 1x1

ho sempre pensato che non fosse buona cosa mischiare le marche degli adattatori di rete router e quant'altro,ma se non li si prova non ci si rende conto di quale e' veramente valido e quale no.

Verifica anche se driver aggiornati per i chipset realtek risolvono il problema e se nelle loro opzioni avanzate non siano attive modalità legacy oppure sia disattivata l'opzione WMM.

Ciao a tutti,oggi,ho risolto il famigerato problema del secondo canale che non viene attivato,cariando il fw 2.0WW
Il navigare sui menu è un po paralizzato come nella versione 2.02EU.
Col caricamento della 2.05EU la navigazione interna al router era diventata molto veloce,ma non si era risolto il problema della scomparsa del secondo canale,non solo quando mi collegavo da questo pc con chipset realtek,ma anche con pennini tp link che montano atheros,come il router in questione..il collegamento con schede intel andava a buon fine
con tutti i due canali radio attivi.

leggendo di fretta il tuo messaggio,non mi ero accorto che indicavi che il router montava atheros,dopo molto tempo,quando ho provato il tp link che montava l' AR9271 e ho visto il secondo canale sparire mi sono rassegnato,e non ci ho pensato piu di tanto...ma ora a pensarci bene non sarebbe strana una incompatibiltà atheros-atheros?
Infatti era un problema di fw,non di hw

Il problema della larghezza da 20 a 40 Mhz in uscita dal router è stato risolto,ma pur tenendo d'occhio i 2 canali presenti,mi sono reso conto che la mia connessione è passata a 54mbps.
Tenendo conto che ho aggiornato i driver della scheda (RTL8192CE)
con quelli inseriti nel sito realtek il 31/10/2012,non c'è ancora nemmeno l'ombra di una opzione nelle avanzate per regolare l'ampiezza del canle o del wmm.

Provo a forzare in N ma che ne sarà della connessione delle periferiche compatibili solo in G?

Dopo vari connetti-disconnetti,sembra che la scheda wifi del pc si sia decisa ad entrare in N.
La velocità è ora a 150mbps,anche disconnettendo e riconnettendo più volte,e spero non dia più problemi.

Pur avendo risolto il problema dei canali wireless,mi sono accorto che con la versione 2.0WW non mi funzionava più il telefono voip collegato al dir-825 tramite un adattatore sip linksys spa2102.
Ovviamente l'apertura manuale delle porte e l'inserimento dell'ip dell'adattatore nel DMZ non hanno prodotto nessun risultato.

Dunque,ho provato l'ennesimo firmware, il 2.08EUb04_beta
che si trova qui:

subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1
Con led arancione intermittente,andando poi sull'indirizzo
192.168.0.1 mi si apre la finestra che dovrebbe permettermi di caricare il file,lo seleziono e lo invio.
ma sia usando internet explorer che chrome l'upload sembra che parta ma in realta' non carica niente.
Nel senso che sembra che stia caricando una pagina e rimane fermo li.
Non appare nessuna barra di avanzamento.
Spegnendo e riaccendendo il router esso riparte con firmware originale,qualcuno sa indicarmi dove sbaglio?
